Crew for Waikiki: Riding the Waves of Change
In addition to experience as filmmakers, many are also members of the Waikiki Beach Surfing Community and as such have the trust and confidence of the Beach Boys telling their story.
Caroline Yacoe, Producer/Director, documentary filmmaker specializing in Pacific Cultures, works include “The Drum and The Mask: Time of the Tubuan”, “Pacific Passages”, and “Faces of the Spirits: The Sulka People of Papua New Guinea”. These films have been shown at the Louis Vuitton Hawaii International Film Festivals, Telluride Mountain Film Festival and other national and international Film Festivals. “Pacific Passages” won a Gold Apple Award from the National Educational Media network and is currently with the Discovery Channel. Eric Jordan, Co-Producer/Co-Director, documentary filmmaker and researcher
specializing in modern surfing history. Committee member for
visual/audio with the California Surfing Heritage Foundation. Photos
published in magazines worldwide, including Nalu, Surfers Path and Makai
Hawai‘i magazine. Produced ad campaign material
for California’s regional Special Olympics.
Francine “Franny” Mikiala Park Palama, Co-Producer and Narrator. Grew
up in Waikiki surfing with many of the legendary Beach Boys. Former
Aloha Week Queen, Council member of the Beretania Neighborhood Community
Center. President of the American Institure of Architecture Students.
